By adding VITAFOR RUMICOOL into the diet of these cows under heat stress, the rumen pH will stabilize because of sodium bicarbonate which acts as a direct buffer in the rumen. The live yeast cultures will stabilize the rumen pH by consuming oxygen in the rumen and stimulating lactate conversion (promotion of lactate-utilizing bacteria). Yeast will also increase fiber digestion through the stimulation of cellulolytic bacteria and improving VFA production and energy supply. Capsaicinoids will stimulate saliva production and feed intake. The synergy of the three will prevent ruminal acidosis with a better overall condition and fewer physiological stress responses. Milk production will stabilize and even increase.
